Some offerings for Mother's Day

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; (Isaiah 49:15-16)

I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. ~Abraham Lincoln

A mother's arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them. ~Victor Hugo

One good mother is worth a hundred schoolmasters. ~George Herbert

There are a number of fascinating connections between motherhood and the Gospel. I offer these messages from Mother's Days past to inject an appreciation for God into your celebration (and flower buying).
